One photo added, one artwork ready to sell.
Alain Roth has been photographing Swiss and European wildlife since 2021, from his first Nikon Z5 to the Z8 he uses today with lenses ranging from 14 mm to 800 mm. Pictaro.ch shows off his shots, sells prints of them, and also covers events across French-speaking Switzerland.
The site couldn't just be a showcase: every photo added to the gallery had to come out watermarked and paired with its own pricing grid, without ever going through a standard online shop.
Every image carries the Pictaro.ch signature, from thumbnail to full size.
Every photo shown on the site, in the gallery as much as on its own page, carries the same watermark: the shutter-shaped logo and the site's name, placed in the same spot on every image. A handwritten signature from the photographer sometimes joins it, at the bottom of the shot.
- Systematic watermark: placed on every gallery thumbnail as well as on the full-size photo on its page.
- Identical position: shutter logo and Pictaro.ch text, always in the same spot, whatever the photo.
- Protected, never hidden: the photo stays readable full screen, the watermark discourages copying without getting in the way.
A price table by material and format, on every page.
Every photo becomes an artwork for sale: its page shows a pricing table by material and format, with the date and place of the shot alongside. Each row of the table opens a quote-request email already filled in with the chosen material, format and price.
- Cross table: one material per row, one price per format, readable at a glance.
- Pre-filled quote: each row opens an email with the material, format and price already stated.
- Date and place: every photo keeps track of the day and the spot where it was taken.
A section of its own, to announce a date or keep track of a booking.
Alongside the wildlife gallery, a dedicated content type for events lives on the site: each entry carries a title, a location badge and a cover image, in its own template for that section. It serves both to announce an upcoming date, such as the Rangiers hill-climb race in May 2026, and to keep a record of a booking already delivered, such as the opening or the renovation of the Breuleux cinema.
- Content kept apart from the gallery: events live in their own section, with their own template.
- Location badge on every thumbnail, placing the assignment at a glance.
- Before and after the event: the same section announces an upcoming date or archives a booking already completed.
